Joseph is a holder of Master’s Degree in Business Administration of «Maastricht School of Management »
since March 2008 with specialization in Projects Management. He is also a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree
in Economics since 2000 as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Management since 1985 with specialization
respectively in finance and accounting.
Joseph is familiar with management of private and public projects, business companies with expertise in projects management and financial services. I worked in senior and leadership positions as Director General of two insurance companies (CORAG AG Ltd and SAHAM ASSURANCE VIE LTD) and Director General of ASSETIP, a semi-private Agency specialized in projects management of public institutions.
He participated also in various reform processes for effective decentralization since September 1998. This exposed him to be at the center of policy designing and implementation of the first, second and third decentralization program in local administration entities of Rwanda.
He formulated the economic development strategy of the City of Kigali which laid the foundation for several public projects as well as from public and private partnerships and subsequently worked as Director of Finance and Economic Planning of the City of Kigali.
In addition, he has an extensive experience in gender mainstreaming and gender equality, planning, monitoring, evaluation, coaching and training.
The experience gained from the above mentioned positions as a Senior Manager and Consultant broadened his knowledge in following areas including: (1) Projects management, (2) Elaboration o f feasibility studies and business plans, (3) Public finance management (PFM), (4) Financial sector and services especially in management of Life and General Insurance companies, (5) Labor and fiscal laws of Rwanda, (6) Gender mainstreaming and gender equality, (7) Elaboration of strategic plans for private and public institutions, (8) Administrative and fiscal decentralization and (9) Urban Development.

Advocate and Private Notary, active member of Rwanda Bar Association and Lawyers of Hope.
She has Previously been a carrer judge in the Rwandan Judiciary where she has served in various capacities as a judge at Nyanza High Court, Kibuye, Gasabo and Ntarugenge Intermediate Courts respectively. She is a seasoned and committed lawyer with a sound experience in various fields of law including but not limited to Insurance Law.
She is also a reknown activist of human rights in general and women and girls’s rights in particular. She is an member of Soroptimist international and part of its leadership globally and on the African Continent level. Soroptimist International is an organisation specialised in fighting violence against women and girls worldwide.
She is also a cofounder and Managing Director of Esperanza Humura, a non profit organization specialized in providing legal assistance and various assistance to children and their mothers currently serving prison sentences.

Francis is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR) with over 8 years of experience in Finance.
Francis’s expertise ranges from financial controlling, Strategic business planning, internal audit, and accounting, tax and treasury management. Francis is currently the Head of Finance at Volkswagen Mobility Solutions Francis hold other relevant qualifications and certificates; Certification in Financial Modelling and Analysis, Certificate in Business Analytics with University of Cape Town and Bachelor’s degree in Finance from University of Rwanda.
His experience in Finance cuts across all sectors, prior to his current position at Volkswagen, he worked as an external auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Chief accountant at Africa Improved Foods and internal audit at Access Bank.

He attended various professional training programs in renowned regional institutes including effective project management at Kenya Institute of Project Management (KIPM), Public Finance Management at Uganda Management Institute (UMI), 24 intensive Bullet-proof managers’ training with CRESTCOM International LLC, Board Effectiveness Training – Strategic Leadership role of the Board; Board structure and Effectiveness; Board and CEO Performance Evaluation and Accountability; Board Strategic Oversight vs. Operational involvement and conducting Board Meetings with CapaBuil, Kenya in conjunction with iCPAR.
With such solid experience in Auditing, Public Sector Project Management, Supply Chain Management, and strategic policy formulation, Mr. Francis served as a member of Senior Management at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning for over 10 years where he occupied high managerial functions before joining Crystal Venture Limited Subsidiaries namely, NPD Ltd and currently with Real Contractors Limited in the capacities of Commercial Manager and Supply Chain Manager respectively.
Mr. Francis has served on a number of Boards including Horizon Group Limited, Ultimate Concept Limited, and other specialized committees and task forces, namely; Public Assets’ Management Committee for the GoR, Fund Technical Committee for FONERWA, Audit & Risk Committee as well as Finance & Administration Committee of East African Community. Currently, Mr. Francis sits on Cogebanque Ltd Board of Directors and a member of the Board committees of Prime Insurance Ltd such as the Risk & Compliance and Audit Committee.
Jean Damascene RUZIGANDE ,Technical director at Prime Insurance Ltd
Jean Damascene RUZIGANDE is currently the Technical Director of PRIME Insurance since 2017. He is responsible of Underwriting, Reinsurance and Claims management.
Ruzigande has accumulated 15 years of experience in the Insurance sector where he started with Special Guarantee Funds (SGF) a Government of Rwanda insurance agency mandated to compensate victims of accidents and damages caused by uninsured and non-identified automobiles, the equivalent to MIB, Motor Insurers’ Bureau in certain countries.
Prior his current position, Ruzigande was the Technical Director of SAHAM Assurance Vie RWANDA a Moroccan Insurance company working in more than 26 countries.
Prior joining SAHAM Assurance vie Rwanda, Ruzigande served as Director of Operations of COGEAR in charge of both Life insurance and General Insurance. Prior this position, Ruzigande was the Director of Life insurance in the same company.
Prior joining insurance sector, Ruzigande was an Assistant Lecturer of Financial Mathematics at Kigali Independent University.
Ruzigande holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration – MBA from Kigali Independent University and is a member of the Chartered Insurance institute, UK (CII) as well as various trainings in insurance management including Actuarial, Reinsurance, Claims management, Micro-insurance, etc.

John joined PRIME Insurance as CEO at the beginning of September 2017 having been CEO of Rwandair Ltd since 2010. During his tenure at Rwandair, he oversaw the tremendous expansion and growth that makes Rwandair the fastest growing Airline on the African continent.
Prior to joining Rwandair, John was the Executive Chairman of Crystal Ventures Ltd, a private holding company with wide ranging investments. Prior to joining Crystal ventures, he headed Electrogaz, a public Power and Water utility which he helped transform from an inefficient, loss making public monopoly to an efficient and well managed entity. Prior to joining Electogaz, John was the Chief Operating Officer of MTN Rwanda one of the biggest private Communications Company in Rwanda. He joined MTN Rwanda from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning where he was charged with legal affairs. He previously chaired and served on a number of Board in Rwanda and abroad. John holds an LL.B and a Post graduate Diploma in legal practice and has attended numerous training/couching in business management.
