New shareholding.

The year of 2017 was particularly distinctive for Prime, where Rwanda Mountain and Kitabi Tea Factory acquired the majority of shareholding for Prime Insurance Ltd to replace Greenoaks Global Holding.A similar acquisition occurred for Prime Life Insurance Ltd to place on the top of the list of shareholders Rwanda Mountain Tea and SP Aviation.

Congratulation message

Prime Insurance Ltd and Prime Life Insurance Ltd jointly congratulated H.E. Paul Kagame after winning the presidential election on 4th August 2018.

Office Move

Strategically, Prime shifted its Head Office from RSSB Building Tower II (Péage) located on KN3 RD African Union Boulevard, Kigali, Rwanda to MIC BUILDING located on KN2 AV Nyarugenge, Kigali, Rwanda (Artwork of office move)

CEOs appointment

On 11th September 2017 Mr. John MIRENGE and Mr. Grégoire MINANI officially joined Prime Insurance Ltd and Prime Life Insurance Ltd respectively, as skilled leaders of both companies.

On 15th September 2017, a gala dinner was organised to shower all insurance brokers with honour while the new CEOs pledged to work hand in hand with them to set professionalism of Insurance services on the Rwandan market.

Prime Insurance Ltd and Prime Life Insurance Ltd heartedly sponsored the Thrombosis Day organised on 14th October 2017 at King Faycal Hospital to raise awareness of the severity of this dread disease. The day was split into 3 main parts started by speeches of different medical Doctors and Specialists to an about sixty people, followed by visiting patients under treatment of Thrombosis admitted in King Faycal Hospital, and concluded by a dinner offered at Kigali Marriott Hotel to honour survivors of the disease and remembering all lives wiped away.

Supporting talents is one of the motives of Prime, it is in this regard both companies proudly sponsored the Huye Rally 28-29 October 2017, which gathered competitors from Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda, won by Mr. Moussa Kabega from the Ugandan team.

CSR and launch of the campaign catch the fire first before it catches you.

There is no possibility of crowning the year without stretching a helping hand to the needy. It is in this regard both companies bought medical insurance to 100 families resident of Kagarama Sector, during Umuganda held on 25th November 2017 at Kagarama Sector of Kicukiro District. Prime team jointly with Mugolds International team participated in Umuganda which ended by sensitising all participants to protect their houses by displaying fire fighting equipment and transfer the risk of fire and allied perils to Prime Insurance.
